An invitation to enter a Circle of Soul Stewards, called at this potent time on the planet to gather together in the spirit of community dreaming and inquiry in a year of committed personal and planetary service to Stewarding Soul.

Practical embodied exercises and tracking explorations in the theme and energy of the earth’s seasonal medicine will be offered at each gathering, along with daily practices to share in a field of nonlocal resonance between gatherings at home. Each weekend will unfold in the richness of our collective dream offerings through tracking dreams, painting process (optional), writing, storytelling, movement inquiry, in circle and ceremony.  On the first weekend we will create a mask to accompany us on the journey.

Saturday evenings will offer Dreamtime Dives, in order for each participant to bring personal dreams to share in community and receive medicine both, personal and planetary.  Altars will be both created and co-created in devotion to the sacred web of life.

Dates are chosen as perennial portals of Earthing wisdom, through which our Ancestors participated with and in the “world behind the world.”  The “midpoints” of the calendar call to the liminal place we are tending at this time.

Join Penny Allport and become a dream explorer. Penny is a creative explorer with a passion for all that is possible in the living inquiry of what it means to be an embodied human. For over two decades she has facilitated individuals and groups through explorations in Yoga, Continuum Movement, Perceptual Inquiry, Creative Expression, Storytelling and Dream Inquiry. Penny will be your guide in an experiential inquiry into the language of dreams as you discover simple practices to receive the messages delivered in night dreams. Penny believes we are personally and collectively in a time of re-dreaming life on the planet earth; truly, we are sharing dreams in community and “dreaming in the dark”. In the days leading to the Winter Solstice, our ancestors felt the increase of the gestating darkness all around them.  Meeting the blank page is a meeting with this mystery.

We begin with gentle explorations in breath, movement and perceptual inquiry to awaken the potency that lies within. As we approach the empty page, brush in hand, color dripping from its tip, awake to the possibility of just one authentic gesture, we are welcomed by a numinous longing not easily spoken of or articulated in any other form.

In the embrace of this mystery we can never fully understand, we merge in a co-creative process with that which is dreaming us.  What emerges is a surprise, filled with the potency of expectancy and a willingness to not know.  The energy of the unexpected calls us more deeply as images, shapes and form arrive without our contriving.  We see and are seen by the emerging light on the page.

As the sun stands still at Winter Solstice we will stand, sit and move together with these dreams (paintings) in a dreamtime inquiry to deepen integration of the medicine of each painting (last evening of classes).

(This process is a wonderful way to explore physical, mental, emotional, creative or spiritual questions or challenges in our lives.  The Inner Physician is an artist just waiting to give birth to healing images specific for each of us in each moment.)

Penny Allport has been facilitating groups in embodied soulful explorations for over twenty years.

This retreat will offer explorations and practices based in Continuum Movement, Yoga, perceptual inquiry, dream incubation, creative expression through personal writing and engagement in group process. Saturday evening will offer an opportunity to experience Moving the Medicine of Dreams, a practice to restore the primacy of the imagination to the process of being whole, healthy embodied humans, and to collectively evolve fresh possibilities, as we shed the skin of outdated forms of relationship with all of life.

Penny is deeply informed by the work of Angeles Arrien, Emilie Conrad, Susan Harper, Hubert Godard, Caryn McHose and Kevin Frank and humbly inspired by her direct experience of the incredible mutability and mystery of this “one wild and precious human life.”

Through explorations in Continuum Movement, Continuum Montage, Perceptual Inquiry, Yoga and a six acre sanctuary for the senses (Paradise Found), we will enter a time of spacious inquiry and discovery of resources and ways to support our capacity to “feel the rapture of being alive.”
 
We will deepen our inquiry through painting process and “dreamtime attention,” allowing for both personal and planetary processes to meet and integrate.
